Job Title: Senior Test Engineer
Location: Basildon
Contract Length: 6 Months (Extension Potential)
Rate: £400 - £440 per day (Inside IR35)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, integration, and verification of electro-optical test equipment and test processes for precision guidance products.
- Interpret product-level test requirements and contribute to the development of effective test strategies and solutions.
- Assist with the design, commissioning, and ongoing support of development and production test systems.
- Perform hands-on laboratory testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and measurement activities using specialist test instrumentation.

Requirements

- HND, HNC, Degree, or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience within test engineering, verification, validation, integration, or development testing environments.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrical Testing, Electro-Optics, Environmental Testing, Acoustic Testing, or Instrumentation.
- Good understanding of electronic test equipment, instrumentation, data acquisition, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Military, Electronics, or highly regulated engineering environments is highly desirable.
- Exposure to LabVIEW, MATLAB, National Instruments, DAQ systems, ECAD tools, STTE, or similar test software would be advantageous.
- Soldering experience and an understanding of mechanical design principles would be beneficial.
