At CACI Information Intelligence Group (IIG)

We develop cutting-edge software solutions that tackle some of the UK's most complex and mission-critical challenges. As a specialist technology consultancy, we partner with customers across National Security, Defence and Government to deliver innovative digital capabilities that have real-world impact.

We're growing rapidly and are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join one of our high-performing National Security delivery teams.

If you're passionate about quality engineering, thrive on solving difficult technical problems, and want to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Senior Test Engineer, you'll become a key member of a small, agile delivery team working on a live, high-profile project. You'll help shape quality from the outset, embedding automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle and ensuring solutions are delivered with confidence, reliability and speed.

Responsibilities

You'll work closely with engineers, architects, DevOps specialists and product stakeholders to champion quality engineering and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing automated testing solutions across UI, API and system levels.
  • Embedding continuous testing within modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Combining automated and exploratory testing approaches to deliver high-quality software.
  • Working within Agile environments and applying modern engineering practices including TDD, BDD and ATDD.
  • Building and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks.
  • Supporting non-functional testing activities such as performance, security, accessibility and operational acceptance testing.
  • Helping shape testing strategy, frameworks and best practices across the wider QA community.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, resilient and user-focused solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
