Senior Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics / Recovery (RGN/ODP)
Glasgow Hospital | Nursing | Permanent | Full Time | Includes evening, weekend and on call availability
Salary up to £44,100 per annum, depending on experience.
£3,000 Golden Hello available
37.5 hours per week

About the Role
As a Senior Theatre Practitioner at our Glasgow Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (RGN/ODP), you will:
- Have previous anaesthetic and recovery experience, which is essential for this role.
- Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring.
- Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be.
- Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs.
- Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students.
- Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and training.
