We’re looking for a Senior Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics to join our Theatre team at The Harley Street Clinic, proudly rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Renowned for delivering some of the most complex care in London, The Harley Street Clinic provides highly specialised services across oncology, neurosurgery, cardiology and a wide range of advanced surgical specialties. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and supported by expert multidisciplinary teams, our theatres offer a fast-paced environment where clinical excellence is at the heart of everything we do.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, responsive and patient-centred perioperative care, supporting complex procedures across specialties including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, vascular, spine, plastics, breast reconstruction, ENT, gastrointestinal and maxillofacial surgery. We are seeking an experienced practitioner with broad exposure to complex case mixes and strong anaesthetic expertise. A sedation certificate would be advantageous.

Our theatres operate Monday to Saturday, with a 7-day on-call service. On-call commitments average 8-10 shifts per month, although this may vary depending on service activity and leave requirements. Candidates must be able to attend the hospital within one hour when on call, or make suitable arrangements to ensure this requirement is met.

  • Deliver consistently high-quality, evidence-based anaesthetic care, ensuring every patient receives safe, effective and compassionate support throughout their perioperative journey
  • Lead on the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of all aspects of anaesthetic and perioperative care, using your senior expertise to anticipate patient needs and respond confidently to changing clinical situations
  • Prepare patients for anaesthetic and operative procedures, providing skilled assistance to the anaesthetist and wider surgical team while ensuring smooth, efficient theatre workflows
  • Contribute fully as a senior member of the theatre team, sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues and promoting a positive, cohesive team culture that drives continuous improvement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
