Therapy Assistant Opportunity

Therapy Assistants are the backbone of our core therapy department; without them we just couldn’t function! We’re excited to be adding to our Pelvic health & Breast outpatient team and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Therapy Assistant to join us.

Are you passionate about health and exercise? Are you a caring and compassionate person towards all different people? Can you take personal responsibility for someone’s care with guidance from your team? Can you see yourself leading education and exercise classes? Can you take care of the staff and service around you through intuition, being proactive and organised?

If so, we are looking for you! Full training will be provided so all you need to consider is whether you would have the skills required to excel. It is worth noting that some staff members have used this as a starting point towards becoming a physiotherapist or occupational therapist. Look out for separate apprenticeship opportunities once you arrive.

The Role

The role would have you starting in the pelvic health and breast outpatient team but would be open to cover and/or change to other core therapy departments. Our core therapy departments (e.g. physiotherapy, occupational therapy professions) cover all parts of the hospital – inpatients and outpatients – respiratory, medicine, neuro, emergency department, hand therapy, MSK to name a few.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Within the pelvic health and breast team your day would follow a predictable routine of responsibilities mixed with welcoming/interacting with/helping people (including newborn babies), and solution finding. This could be:

  • Getting the clinical spaces ready to accommodate patients (e.g. clean, stocked, safe)
  • Getting the therapists ready for their clinic (e.g. pulling notes, photocopying resources, getting equipment ready)
  • Supporting patients with queries
  • Setting up for and running classes
  • Taking your own patients on the phone or face to face (providing routine pre-operative information, supporting patients with clinician-prescribed exercises)
  • Gathering key patient information from the notes to support clinicians prior to their session
  • Being available to chaperone for assessments
  • Getting patients fitted for equipment
  • Reviewing and replenishing stock
  • Checking diaries and liaising with our admin team to fill any gaps that appear
  • Helping with gathering and analysing information to demonstrate team performance to senior leadership
