A Senior Threat Analyst role with genuine influence
I'm working with a highly respected UK organisation looking for an experienced Senior Threat Analyst to play a key role in shaping its Cyber Threat Intelligence capability.
This isn't just an analysis role. We're looking for someone who can take complex threat intelligence, understand what it actually means for the organisation, and communicate that clearly to people who aren't cyber security specialists. You'll have regular exposure to senior stakeholders, delivering executive briefings and turning intelligence into clear, practical recommendations that influence security decisions.
The role is UK-wide, with just 2 days per month in Manchester. You don't need to live in Manchester, although being within a reasonable commuting distance is preferred as there may occasionally be a requirement to attend during a significant cyber security incident or emergency.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the collection, analysis and correlation of threat intelligence from internal, external and OSINT sources.
- Produce tactical, operational and strategic threat assessments covering threat actors, TTPs, IOCs and emerging threats.
- Deliver executive-level threat briefings, translating technical intelligence into business impact, risk and recommended actions.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and confidently communicate cyber risk to non-security audiences.
- Act as a trusted adviser, helping stakeholders understand what the threat means, why it matters and what they should do about it.
- Support incident investigations and response with threat intelligence and adversary context.
- Correlate internal telemetry with external intelligence to identify threats, attack patterns and potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop threat-led phishing awareness and security education.
- Work across Information Security to ensure intelligence is operationalised and leads to meaningful improvements.
- Continuously improve threat intelligence processes, tools and ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
