🔐 Senior Threat Analyst | Manchester / Hybrid | £65,000
📍 Location: Manchester
💷 Salary: Circa £65,000, depending on experience
🕐 Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
📄 Contract: Permanent
🏠 Working model: Hybrid, typically one day in the Manchester office every fortnight, with flexibility to attend more frequently if preferred.
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Threat Analyst to join their Information Security function and take a leading role in their threat intelligence capability. This is an exciting opportunity for a cyber security professional who can combine hands-on threat intelligence expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, turning complex intelligence into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers.
🔎 The Role
As Senior Threat Analyst, you’ll oversee the threat intelligence function, coordinating the identification, analysis and tracking of cyber threats. You’ll work closely with security, technology and wider business teams to understand the evolving threat landscape and translate intelligence into practical recommendations that strengthen security and organisational resilience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the threat intelligence function and coordinating intelligence from internal and external sources.
- Producing tactical, operational and strategic threat intelligence assessments and reports.
- Preparing and delivering executive-level threat briefings to senior stakeholders.
- Correlating internal telemetry with external intelligence to identify threats, attack patterns and potential vulnerabilities.
- Supporting investigations and incident response with intelligence on threat actors, TTPs and IOCs.
- Creating engaging phishing awareness content based on current and emerging threats.
- Working collaboratively across Information Security and wider business teams to operationalise threat intelligence.
- Contributing to security working groups and providing relevant threat context and challenge.
- Continuously improving intelligence processes, tools and ways of working.
- Providing effective leadership, coaching and development to a small team.

🧠 What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience in threat intelligence analysis, cyber threat monitoring or a related cybersecurity role, alongside the ability to communicate complex information clearly to different audiences.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience preparing and delivering executive threat briefings.
- Strong experience analysing and correlating intelligence from multiple sources, including threat feeds, reports and OSINT.
- Experience producing concise threat summaries, briefings and intelligence reports.
- Strong knowledge of cyber threat actors, TTPs and IOCs.
- Understanding of the threat intelligence lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and contributing to working groups.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills in a dynamic security environment.
- Leadership experience, including developing, coaching and motivating team members.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with the evolving cyber threat landscape.

⭐ Desirable
The following would be advantageous:
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications such as CPTIA, CRTIA or SANS FOR578.
- Familiarity with frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK and/or the Cyber Kill Chain.
- Experience with technologies such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft security products and Orpheus.
