Job Title: Senior Town Planner
Ref: BM336
Location: Macclesfield
Salary: GBP 45,000 - GBP 55,000
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established independent town planning consultancy who provide a range of expertise to the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors. They are on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Town Planner to hit the ground running for their Macclesfield office.

Duties For The Role Of Senior Town Planner
- Managing a portfolio of planning projects from initial appraisal through to determination.
- Preparing and coordinating planning applications and supporting documentation.
- Providing strategic planning advice to clients and development teams.
- Undertaking site appraisals and assessing development potential.
- Preparing planning statements, representations, and other planning documentation.
- Managing planning appeals and negotiations with local planning authorities.
- Liaising with planning officers, statutory consultees, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting clients with development promotion and Local Plan matters.

Requirements For The Role Of Senior Town Planner
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- MRTPI Chartered status
- Significant experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or related planning environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and relevant planning policy.
- Experience preparing and managing planning applications.
- Experience dealing with planning authorities and negotiating planning matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- The confidence to deal directly with clients and professional teams.
- A proactive, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
