The Role

As Senior Track & Overlay Manager, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of Formula E racetracks and venue infrastructure, from initial site feasibility and CAD design to on-site construction, live event operations, and de-rig. Serving as the central technical point of integration, you will translate global circuit standards into site-specific plans while managing multi-million-pound budgets and supplier delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrated Venue Design: Lead the design and feasibility analysis for new racetracks and temporary venues in collaboration with the FIA, track designers, and local promoters.
  • CAD & Technical Master Planning: Develop and review comprehensive venue CAD drawings, ensuring all track safety assets, grandstands, bridges, and facilities align with Formula E guidelines.
  • Construction & Site Operations: Lead the full "build-race-strike" site lifecycle, overseeing local operator and contractor delivery for temporary structures, road closures, and trackside branding.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronise overlay requirements across internal departments, providing technical support for hospitality, fan zones, TV broadcast setups, and commercial activations.
  • Budget & Procurement: Manage the event site Track & Overlay budget, supporting procurement with technical specifications, reviewing supplier submissions, and managing change of scope business cases.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: Advise on technical restrictions, support permit submissions with Health & Safety teams, and conduct final inspections and formal handover sign-offs before going live.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
