Senior Trade and Customs Consultant
Directorate: Trade Services
Reporting to: Head of Training and Consultancy
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday
- 35 hours per week, full-time.
Location:
- Remote
- Regular UK travel for client consultancy delivery
- Approximately 6-8 in-person team meetings per annum in London or elsewhere in the UK.
Salary:
- £55,000 - £60,000

The Senior Trade and Customs Consultant will independently deliver and lead complex customs and international trade engagements, from discovery and scoping through technical assessment, recommendations, and implementation support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requires substantial practical expertise in Customs Special Procedures, supported by broad working knowledge across wider customs matters.
- Takes responsibility for the effective delivery of assigned projects within agreed scope, budget, and timescales.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues and supports clients in their dealings with HMRC.

Role Details:
- Works within the ChamberCustoms technical framework.
- Contributes to proposals and service development.
- Helps strengthen consultancy capability across the ChamberCustoms team and wider Chamber Network.
Role Focus:
- Primarily a consultancy and technical-delivery role.
- Not a customs declaration processing or general operational-management position.
