About the role

As our Senior Trade Marketing Manager, you'll lead the trade marketing strategy and activation for our brands across the UK, Ireland and Europe, working at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, customers and shoppers.

You'll turn brand and commercial strategies into impactful campaigns and experiences that bring our brands to life at the point of purchase and consumption. From NPD and brand launches to retailer activations and shopper opportunities, you'll identify where we can win and make sure our plans are brought to life in a way that drives both brand and commercial results.

You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Category and key customers to develop compelling activation plans, while also leading and developing a Trade Marketing Executive. It's a senior role with plenty of opportunity to influence how our brands show up in market and make a measurable difference to sales, margin and market share.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based at our London Bridge office.

What you’ll do

  • Lead trade marketing and activation strategy across the UK, Ireland and Europe, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Category and key customers
  • Turn brand and commercial plans into impactful trade and shopper activations, including NPD, launches and key campaigns
  • Identify retailer and customer opportunities to drive shopper conversion, brand sales and category growth
  • Build strong relationships with key retailers, distributors and external partners to maximise activation opportunities
  • Use shopper, category and retail insights to shape recommendations and improve performance at point of purchase
  • Set KPIs, measure campaign effectiveness, manage the trade marketing budget and use insights to improve future activity
  • Lead, coach and develop the Trade Marketing Executive

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing or a similar role, ideally within FMCG
  • Strong understanding of the UK and Ireland grocery, independent retail and hospitality channels
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to turn brand plans into effective customer and shopper activations
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time and within budget
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence across Sales, Marketing, customers and external partners
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use shopper, category and campaign insights to inform decisions and measure performance
  • Experience coaching or managing others, with a genuine interest in developing people
