About the role

The Senior Trade Marketing Manager leads the UK & ANZ trade marketing strategy across physical retail, retailer.com and owned stores, reporting into our Head of Marketing in the region. The role translates brand, category and commercial priorities into integrated marketing plans that strengthen customer experience, accelerate sell-out and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

As a senior regional brand guardian across the UK & ANZ markets, you will set the standard for retail excellence, build high-value partnerships and manage the Trade Marketing team to achieve exceptional results in our home market.

This role will be based in our London Head Office, we work a hybrid model with 2-3 days in the office and the remainder can be WFH.

As a Senior Trade Marketing Manager, UK you will

  • Together with the Head of Marketing, lead the annual UK & ANZ Trade marketing strategy and integrated channel plan, aligning retailer, brand, category and commercial priorities across store and digital touchpoints.
  • Develop best-in-class 360 marketing strategies with retail partners, integrating digital, in-store, out-of-home and pop-up activations into a connected customer journey keeping performance objectives and KPI’s in mind at all times.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Trade Marketing team; set clear priorities, allocate ownership and ensure deadlines are achieved across all Trade marketing activations.
  • Lead the ongoing development of the Trade Marketing function, ensuring the right processes, capabilities, tools and operating rhythms are in place to support a growing and increasingly complex business.
  • Translate Brand and Category strategies into customer-led plans that launch NPD brilliantly, accelerate core franchises and deliver against retailer and category objectives.
  • Partner with Commercial to shape Joint Business Plans and retailer strategies, negotiating always-on and campaign support with retailers.
  • Build trusted senior relationships, ensuring clear communication of Trade marketing strategies at all times.
  • Develop strong strategic partnerships with key retailers, influencing joint business plans and unlocking opportunities across visibility, activation, exclusivity and investment.
  • Lead regular retailer marketing strategy sessions, using brand, customer and commercial insight to align priorities, unlock opportunities and agree clear actions.
  • Set the approach to retailer’s channels, onsite search, content and conversion, ensuring activity is insight-led, brand-right and measurable.
  • Own performance reporting across the Trade marketing portfolio, defining success measures and turning store, ecommerce and campaign results into future plans.
  • Identify emerging Trade, consumer and competitor trends and turn them into innovative, disruptive activations that grow awareness, share of voice and Trade performance.
  • In partnership with the Head of Marketing, own the UK & ANZ Trade marketing budget, including annual planning, phasing, forecasting, accruals and actualisation, in line with commercial targets and financial governance.
  • Create a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team environment, with regular feedback, coaching and meaningful performance objectives.
  • Lead the ongoing development of the Trade Marketing function, ensuring the right processes, capabilities, tools and operating rhythms are in place to support a growing and increasingly complex business.
  • Champion a connected omnichannel customer journey by partnering with Commercial, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Store Design, Category Marketing, VM and PR.
  • Represent the UK & ANZ markets in regional and global forums, sharing insight and best practice while adapting global direction for local retail needs.

Who you will work with

You will sit within our UK function, within our highly talented Marketing team, reporting directly to our Head of Marketing, UK, ANZ & PP.

Work closely with the wider UK Marketing team, PR, Field, Media and Global Marketing teams.

You will build, lead, empower and develop the UK & ANZ Trade Marketing team!

About you

You will have extensive trade, channel or retail marketing experience gained within beauty, premium retail, luxury or a fast-paced consumer brand.

Strong record of developing and delivering strategic omnichannel plans across physical retail and ecommerce.

Proven people leadership, including coaching, performance management and capability development.

Excellent retailer relationship management, Joint Business Planning and negotiation skills.

Strong digital commerce and retail media capability, with a clear understanding of the levers that drive traffic, conversion and sell-out.

Commercially astute, with experience managing significant budgets and using ROI, P&L and performance data to make investment decisions.

Highly analytical and able to translate customer, campaign and sales insight into clear actions.

Credible and persuasive communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and represent the brand externally.

Strategic and creative thinker with high standards of execution, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment.

Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable leading through ambiguity and change; with excellent written and verbal English.
