Title
Senior Training Specialist / Learning Consultant
Salary range: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Location: Bristol, Gloucester, Portsmouth, Middlesborough, Plymouth, Glasgow, Leatherhead and Manchester.
Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.
About the Role
As our training consultancy business continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Training Specialists to join our team. We welcome applications from individuals with military or civilian backgrounds who have expertise in Training Needs Analysis / Learning Needs Analysis, Instructional Design and Training Consultancy.
You will work with clients across a diverse range of sectors including Defence, Government, Nuclear, Rail, Healthcare and Critical National Infrastructure, helping organisations identify capability gaps and design effective learning solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects covering the full training lifecycle, from analysis through to solution design, development, implementation and evaluation.
We're Looking For People Experienced In
- Defence Systems Approach to Training, ADDIE methodology or equivalent instructional design methodologies.
- Writing Scoping Exercises, Requirements Documents, Training Needs Analysis reports and other consultancy deliverables.
- Conducting Training/Learning Needs Analysis / capability assessments / Training gap analysis.
- Engaging with stakeholders, subject matter experts and customers to gather, analyse and validate training requirements.
- Producing learning strategies, training plans, competency frameworks and supporting documentation
- Designing blended learning solutions including digital learning, classroom-based training, facilitated workshops, simulation and immersive technologies
- Developing digital learning content using Articulate Storyline, Rise, Synthesia, Captivate or equivalent tools.
- Working within multidisciplinary consultancy teams to deliver client outcomes.
- Conducting training assurance, validation and evaluation
- Supporting proposals, bids and client presentations.

Essential
- DSAT, ADDIE or equivalent experience
- Experience conducting Training / Learning Needs Analysis or similar performance analysis activities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel to client and company sites when required.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC).
Desirable

- PGCE qualification or equivalent
- Military experience
- Membership of working towards accreditation with CMI, CIPD or Equivalent
- Competent in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Synthesia, Captivate and other authoring platforms
- Experience working within defence, government or regulated industries
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
- JSP 822 and Defence Training policies
Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
