Company Description

CDI Global, possibly the oldest M&A network, is a leading advisor for mid-market, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, with more than 3,000 successfully completed transactions. When founded it focused on buy side transactions and this remains a large part of its current activity. This proposed expansion in the UK is sell side focused.

Role Description

CDI Global UK is looking to expand its sell side capacity for cross border deals. Regional UK coverage could be an advantage; UK operations are remote first and the team is widely spread geographically. We are looking for self-starting, independent individuals with their own networks who will benefit from access to the international coverage that CDI Global enjoys with something like 50 offices across 30 different countries.

Candidates will be expected to source and lead transactions and therefore are likely to be very experienced. They could have a purely professional background or perhaps have enjoyed leading transactions as a principal in a corporate environment. Candidates would have a great deal of autonomy but will still have to report on their activities to the UK Management Team as well as comply with CDI Global's constitution and rules of operation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Mandates and client contractual arrangements will be structured under the UK regulated entity and the candidates, operating as independent contractors, will be entitled to share in fees earned in conducting those mandates to a greater degree than if they were employed directly.

Contractors will have access to senior input from the UK Management Team and junior support from Analysts and Interns, if appropriate.

As independent contractors, candidates will not be working exclusively for CDI Global and may have advisory clients of their own. Any and all mandates that are cross border orientated or would benefit from input from other CDI offices would be expected to be contracted under the CDI brand.

Evidence of ability

Candidates will need to exhibit senior experience as deal leaders in their own right and be able to point to experience that is cross border specific.

References from past personal clients or the clients of previous employers will be very useful.

Professional qualifications in financial services would be helpful but weight will also be given to deep industry expertise as CDI Global differentiates itself in terms of both Geographical Presence and Industry Expertise. For this reason many senior advisors in CDI Global have an industrial background and not necessarily pure M&A. Being able to add to an existing Industry Group or even start a new one would be considered as very attractive.

Please address any questions to Mark Ledger-Beadell as Managing Director of CDI UK.
