We are supporting a leading private markets investment firm adding to its Transactions Tax team.

About:
The firm manages capital across a diversified investment platform spanning Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate. This individual will play a key role in supporting investment activity across the platform, partnering closely with investment professionals, legal teams, finance and external advisers on the structuring and execution of transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Execution & Deal Support
- Provide tax support on acquisitions, disposals, refinancings and restructurings across Private Equity, Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate investments.
- Review and challenge external tax due diligence reports.
- Assess key tax risks and opportunities identified during the diligence process.
- Advise on transaction structuring from both an investor and asset-level perspective.
- Support investment teams throughout deal execution, including reviewing tax provisions within transaction documentation.

Investment Structuring
- Assist in the development and implementation of efficient investment structures across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analyse direct and indirect tax implications of proposed structures.
- Consider implications relating to corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer taxes, fund structuring and cross-border investments.
- Work closely with legal and fund finance teams to ensure structures align with commercial objectives.
Portfolio Support
- Act as a trusted adviser to portfolio companies and investment teams on tax-related matters.
- Support post-acquisition integration projects and operational tax matters.
- Assist with restructuring initiatives, financing arrangements and exit planning.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with investment professionals across Private Equity, Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate teams.
- Manage relationships with external advisers across key jurisdictions.
- Present tax analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and commercial manner.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, compliance and investor relations teams.

Tax Risk & Governance
- Support the identification and management of tax risks across the investment platform.
- Stay abreast of relevant legislative and regulatory developments impacting private capital investments.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate tax governance frameworks and policies.
Essential Experience:
- Either a qualified tax accountant or tax lawyer.
- Strong transactions tax experience, ideally focused on Private Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate and/or Private Credit clients.
- Proven experience supporting M&A transactions and complex cross-border investments.
- Exposure to tax due diligence and transaction structuring.
