Referment is partnering with a rapidly scaling, PE-backed consulting and RegTech business that is delivering complex transformation programmes across global financial institutions.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious Senior Consultant to join a high-growth boutique environment where you’ll have genuine influence over client engagements, business growth, and the future direction of the consulting practice. This role is ideal for a consultant who balances strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to transformation delivery.
You’ll work directly with senior client stakeholders across banking, capital markets, asset & wealth management, and insurance, supporting large-scale transformation initiatives spanning enterprise strategy, operating model design, operations, risk, and governance.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering end-to-end strategic transformation programmes across financial services
- Designing and implementing complex Target Operating Models (TOMs) and governance frameworks
- Focusing on Risk and Regulatory transformation, including Change Execution Controls and 2nd Line of Defence initiatives
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders
- Managing workstreams and contributing to complex delivery programmes
- Driving business strategy and organizational design initiatives
- Building and growing client relationships and accounts
- Supporting business development, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives
- Coaching and mentoring junior consultants across the practice
They’re looking for someone with:
- 4 to 7 years of experience within management consulting or financial services transformation, currently operating at the Senior Consultant level
- A proven background within a top-tier management consultancy or Big 4 firm (e.g. KPMG, EY, Accenture)
- Extensive experience working within Tier 1 Investment Banking environments
- Specific expertise in the Risk and Regulatory space, including experience with Internal Audit or regulatory change execution
- Deep expertise in Enterprise Strategy, Target Operating Model (TOM) design, and Governance
- A track record of leading business transformation rather than purely technical or digital implementations
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience in strategic advisory
- A stable career history demonstrating a commitment to long-term client impact, rather than short-term contracting
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a proactive and disciplined approach to delivery
- High-caliber academic credentials from a UK-based institution, such as an MBA, or a background in military leadership is highly regarded
