Role Overview

Working within the central Strategy & Transformation team and reporting to the Head of Transformation, the role will manage the delivery of complex cross-functional initiatives, shaping scope and business cases, building robust plans, managing risks and dependencies, and keeping progress visible through to execution.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project and Programme Management

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects and programmes from initiation through delivery, managing scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and benefits.
  • Establish clear governance, delivery plans, reporting rhythms and escalation routes for the projects and programmes they lead.
  • Work with senior sponsors, business teams, IT Delivery, Digital Delivery and PMO to maintain alignment, momentum and accountability.
  • Manage trade-offs across timeline, capacity, cost, risk and business value, escalating decisions where required.

Initiative Shaping and Business Cases

  • Own the assessment and shaping of transformation initiatives, defining requirements, expected outcomes, strategic fit and delivery options.
  • Lead the development of business case inputs, including scope, benefits, cost assumptions, delivery approach, risks, dependencies and capacity requirements.
  • Define high-level milestone plans, decision points and readiness criteria before initiatives move into delivery.
  • Prepare clear analysis, recommendations and decision materials to support prioritisation, approval and mobilisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
