At BWB Consulting

At BWB Consulting, we’re more than engineers—we’re trusted partners, innovators, and problem-solvers. Named ACE Best Large Consultancy of the Year 2022 and accredited by Investors in People and Investors in Wellbeing, we combine technical excellence with collaboration, sustainability, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve.

What you’ll be doing

Join our growing Transport & Accessibility Planning team as a Senior Transport Planner or Senior Engineer. You’ll deliver varied, high-impact projects for public- and private-sector clients, with the support and opportunity to take your career further.

We’re looking for an energetic, collaborative professional with sound judgment, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to take ownership.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare Transport Assessments and Statements, Travel Plans, masterplans, traffic engineering schemes, and technical reports for planning applications and transport projects.
  • Work closely with colleagues, clients, architects, planners, and project partners from concept to delivery.
  • Apply key standards and guidance, including DMRB, Traffic Modelling Guidelines, Manual for Streets, and local authority design guides.
  • Support fee proposals and help deliver projects to budget and agreed KPIs.
  • Represent projects in meetings and negotiations with local authorities and regulatory bodies.

Our portfolio spans small developments to national infrastructure. As you grow in the role, you’ll have opportunities to lead projects, manage budgets, mentor junior colleagues, and support business development—giving you a real voice in the team’s future.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
