Senior Transport Planner - Cambridge - c£40,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a rapidly growing business in Cambridge that is looking to bolster its team with a Senior Transport Planner.
This role is ideal for an established Transport Planner looking to take the next step in their career and develop towards a future Transport Manager position.
The Role
- Lead daily planning and optimisation of LGV routes across the UK
- Allocate drivers and vehicles efficiently to meet customer requirements
- Manage operational disruptions and last-minute customer changes
- Support and mentor transport administrators
- Enable compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time and Operator Licence requirements
- Analyse transport KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Work with the driver trainer to embed safe, courteous and efficient driving behaviours
- Build strong working relationships with customers, drivers and internal stakeholders

About You
- 3-5+ years' experience in transport planning
- Proven experience planning UK LGV operations involving bulk tippers, tankers or flatbeds
- Strong understanding of transport compliance requirements
- Confident with route planning and resource optimisation
- A clear communicator with the leadership potential to develop and motivate a team
