African Travel Specialist – Luxury Tailor-Made Safaris
At Mahlatini Luxury Travel, we design Life’s Greatest Journeys. As leaders in luxury safaris and tailor-made travel across Southern and Eastern Africa, we’re expanding our team of African Travel Specialists.
We’re looking for experienced consultants who combine in-depth knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa with a passion for delivering exceptional, personalised client experiences. If you thrive on creating seamless, high-end itineraries and nurturing lasting client relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Curate bespoke, luxury safari and travel itineraries across Africa
- Convert warm leads through engaging phone, email and video consultations
- Present polished, detail-driven proposals that inspire confidence
- Deliver outstanding service before, during, and after travel
- Stay ahead of product developments, ensuring in-depth destination expertise
- Collaborate with colleagues and trade partners to uphold our gold-standard reputation

What we’re looking for
Essential
- 3+ years’ experience as a Travel Consultant in tailor-made, luxury travel
- Proven ability to design and sell complex itineraries
- First-hand knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa
- Strong sales track record and ability to hit targets
- Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and video)
- Organised, tech-savvy, and confident managing multiple clients

Desired
- Experience with GDS/flight systems
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent
