Senior Treasury Accountant

Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Treasury Accounting professional to join our Treasury team on an interim basis (potential to extend into a longer assignment). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining treasury accounting operations for Dauch’s regional Treasury Center in London, while acting as the Treasury Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a re-implementation and expansion of the FIS Integrity Treasury Management System (TMS). This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, systems implementation experience, a deep understanding of treasury controls and reporting, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Accounting & Reporting

  • Perform treasury accounting activities for cash, debt, intercompany funding, foreign exchange transactions and hedging activities.
  • Prepare and review treasury accounting journals, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
  • Interact with U.S. parent corporate office to support Treasury disclosures and other information required for the financial statements.
  • Support statutory reporting and audit requirements.
  • May perform accounting research on treasury transactions and strategic initiatives.

FIS Integrity TMS Transformation Programme

  • Serve as Treasury Accounting SME for the FIS Integrity implementation project.
  • Play a lead role in the “design” phase of the project, define accounting requirements and system enhancements to meet the Company’s future state goals, and validate system configuration.
  • Review accounting event mappings, journal generation rules and ERP interfaces.
  • Support testing, defect resolution, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and go-live activities.
  • Assist with process design, documentation and transition to business-as-usual operations.
  • Collaborate with Treasury leadership, Corporate Accounting, IT and external implementation partners to ensure successful delivery.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Support and enhance treasury-related internal controls and documentation, as required to meet the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX), a U.S. federal law that applies to U.S. companies and subsidiaries.
  • Ensure treasury processes operate within a robust control framework.
  • Support work with internal and external auditors on treasury accounting and controls matters.
  • Document process flows, control narratives and testing requirements as part of the TMS transformation programme.

Required Skills and Education

Essential Experience and Competencies

  • Significant Treasury Accounting experience.
  • Treasury accounting experience covering:
    • Foreign exchange transactions
    • Derivatives and hedge accounting
    • Debt and financing structures
    • Cash and liquidity management
    • Intercompany funding
  • Direct experience implementing and working in the FIS Integrity TMS.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven experience with internal controls, documentation and reporting, and a working knowledge of SOX.
  • Experience working with ERP integrations and finance systems.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a project and business-as-usual environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
