This is a broad functional leadership role with responsibility for strategy, performance and control across liquidity, funding, foreign exchange, money markets and capital markets, together with the leadership and development of an experienced specialist team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and deliver the Treasury strategy, operating plan and budget in line with the Bank's objectives and risk appetite.
  • Manage regulatory liquidity, funding, cash and market-risk positions within approved internal and regulatory parameters.
  • Oversee foreign exchange, money-market, investment and capital-markets activity, optimising returns within a robust control framework.
  • Provide clear Treasury and balance-sheet advice to senior management and relevant governance forums.
  • Manage relationships with wholesale counterparties and other market participants, maintaining appropriate access to liquidity and pricing.
  • Maintain a strong first-line risk, control, financial-crime and regulatory culture across the function.
  • Lead, develop and motivate a specialist Treasury team, setting clear objectives and maintaining the required technical capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
