Senior Treasury / Treasury Dealer (Execution, Hedging, Collateral) – Buy-side environment | London
An FCA-regulated treasury services business within a wider buy-side ecosystem is expanding and hiring a true “number two” to support the Head of Treasury. This is a growth hire into a lean, high-performing team (4 in London, 2 offshore) where you’ll gain genuine breadth and visibility, with significant runway as the platform scales.
The opportunity This is not a narrow, siloed role. The team “does a bit of everything” across execution, hedging, financing, cash management, and collateral/margin. You’ll take ownership in a role that is both technically demanding and highly client-facing, with direct dialogue with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities (broad remit)
- Execution across FX and fixed income products (bonds/bills etc.)
- P&L hedging and share class hedging (error-free delivery is critical)
- Cash management and day-to-day treasury activity supporting clients
- Margin and cash collateral management (including bilateral and cleared)
- Working with industry-standard margin/collateral platforms (e.g. TriMargin)
- Working in an automation-led environment (process is highly automated; Python scripts are used to generate/drive execution activity – no expectation to be a high-level coder, but you must be comfortable with what coding/AI can do and be able to engage with it)
- Front-office style client interaction: explaining the “why” behind actions and responding to challenge/pushback from senior client contacts

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
