Senior UAS Engineer / On-site in Loughborough, UK
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior UAS Engineer to design, integrate and test advanced unmanned aerial systems. This hands-on role involves developing multi-rotor platforms, integrating sensors and payloads, and conducting flight testing. Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, the successful candidate will contribute to innovative UAS programmes, mentor junior engineers and support international customer projects, particularly in the US.

Compensation, Benefits & Opportunities

- Hands-on involvement throughout the engineering lifecycle, from initial design and integration through to flight testing.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary specialists across software, electrical engineering and payload development.

To Be Successful, You'll Need:
- Strong background in multi-rotor Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) engineering, including airframe design and component integration.
- Hands-on experience with flight testing, integration of sensors and payloads (e.g., optical-flow sensors, LiDAR, cameras, specialised instruments), and troubleshooting UAS platforms.
- More than three years' experience in commercial or defence UAS applications, with experience using Betaflight, ArduPilot, Mission Planner and QGroundControl.
