Senior UI Artist

Requisition ID

R028251

Your Mission

We're looking for a Senior UI Artist to join our Guildford Studio on a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract basis.

As a Senior UI Artist you will join Sledgehammer’s Global UIX team tasked with crafting the User Interface of our titles across in-game systems and the front-end, from pre-production through to shipping.

You will create high-quality UI art assets that help define and elevate the visual experience of our interfaces across the game.

Our Culture

UIX at Sledgehammer is a core pillar of the team with a culture built around the pursuit of excellence at the apex of game design and usability. We have built an inclusive creative process where the team’s collective interface and experience vision fuels the overall direction of the game.

We’re seeking an imaginative, skillful, and versatile artist who has a deep understanding of the diverse audiences video games attract and how to create inclusive interfaces and systems. If you share our passion for developing deep and engaging games with simple, elegant user experiences then we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Working with the UI Lead and Artist to create exceptional user interfaces throughout the game.
  • Working on the art style of the interface.
  • Create high-quality assets, iconography and visual targets.
  • Working closely with designers and engineers to deliver the best possible user interface while staying within technical and aesthetic requirements.
  • Participate in discussions around UI art workflows, tools, and pipelines, including the adoption of AI-assisted creative tools where appropriate.

Player Profile

  • Demonstrable experience creating high-quality UI art and visual assets.
  • Passionate about being an individual contributor, helping to shape the vision and deliver assets
  • Exceptional interface art and graphic design skills.
  • Capable of adapting to a range of art styles and techniques.
  • Experience in motion graphics and animation.
  • Is proactive in seeking feedback from peers and leads. Supports others to do the same.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Proactively manages and communicates their workload to production and leads.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
