Senior UI Engineer
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Team Lead
Working Pattern: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in Belfast office
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (Role is NI based. Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK)
Salary: Negotiable

Job Summary:
A new product offering is emerging from the concept phase, which expands our solution set from compliance and data governance into cybersecurity. This role offers the opportunity to work in emerging technologies with a primary focus on a React skillset. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic team, coding in a fast-paced development environment, generating creative solutions to solve customer needs and challenges. The successful candidate will be actively involved in driving technical decisions within the team, with a desire to produce high-quality software to provide a superior client experience.

Education Requirements:
- A University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
Experience:
- 5+ years relevant software engineering and development experience
- Proactive attitude with great communications skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, and the ability to work well with people are essential
Essential Criteria:
- 5+ years Typescript/JavaScript
- 3+ years React
- UX experience working with designers/product managers to translate requirements into intuitive interfaces
- Accessible, responsive UI development, including practical knowledge of WCAG and semantic HTML
- Experience with component libraries (React Aria, Radix or similar) and Tailwind CSS or comparable
- Experience with data-rich interfaces, including large tables, charts, and visualizations
- Frontend performance optimization, particularly for complex interfaces and large datasets
- Consuming and shaping REST APIs; state management for complex, long-lived workspaces

Desired Criteria:
- Enterprise software development
- Advanced charting, data visualization, and virtualization using tools such as D3, visx, ECharts, or TanStack Table
- Architecture experience designing new products or systems
- Building and maintaining reusable component libraries and design systems
- Cybersecurity or analyst-tooling experience, including audit trails and role-based access controls
- CI/CD pipelines and AWS or Azure exposure
- Node.js development
- Vue experience
- Agile, cross-functional delivery
