Senior UI Engineer

Luxoft is looking for a Senior UI Engineer to join a major banking transformation programme, helping to build modern, responsive web applications that support critical lending and financial services platforms. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced frontend engineer who enjoys working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging the latest AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. You'll work closely with backend and integration teams, contributing to user-centric solutions that connect seamlessly with enterprise systems, including Loan IQ.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain modern, responsive frontend applications using React
  • Build reusable UI components and deliver intuitive user experiences
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and enterprise data services
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to architecture, design, and UI/UX discussions
  • Write high-quality, testable code and develop unit tests to ensure application reliability
  • Support QA teams with troubleshooting, defect resolution, and testing activities
  • Assist with frontend build, deployment, and CI/CD processes
  • Optimise applications for performance, accessibility, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, and documentation workflows

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced React development expertise
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Solid HTML5 and CSS skills
  • Experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling
  • Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or similar frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Understanding of API-driven architectures and backend service integrations
  • Exposure to enterprise integration concepts
  • Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka or MQ would be advantageous
  • Experience with Loan IQ integrations, APIs, and data models is highly desirable

DevOps & Engineering Practices

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
  • Experience using Git and modern branching strategies
  • Understanding of automated build and deployment processes

AI-Assisted Development Experience

  • Experience using AI-assisted developer tools such as GitLab Copilot or IDE-based copilots
  • Familiarity with AI-driven approaches to:
    • Code generation
    • Unit test creation
    • Debugging and troubleshooting
    • Documentation generation
  • Passion for adopting modern AI tools to improve software quality, productivity, and continuous learning
