About the role:

  • As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will take ownership of player-facing interface and user experience design across gameplay systems, menus, onboarding, progression, multiplayer features, accessibility, and live-service content.
  • You will work closely with the Game Director, Designers, Artists, Audio team, QA and Programmers to create intuitive, immersive and polished experiences that support gameplay clarity while maintaining the tone and atmosphere of the game.
  • This role is not limited to creating interface visuals. We are looking for someone who can identify UX problems, improve player flows, prototype solutions, conduct usability-focused thinking, and help establish long-term UI/UX standards and workflows within the studio.

This role is hybrid based at our office in Southampton. At this time, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and improve user flows, wireframes, interface layouts and interaction systems.
  • Create intuitive UI/UX solutions for gameplay systems, tutorials, progression, inventory, multiplayer interactions, VR, shops and menus.
  • Work closely with Designers and the Game Director to ensure UX supports gameplay clarity and player goals.
  • Collaborate with Artists and Programmers to ensure interfaces are visually polished and technically robust.
  • Prototype and iterate on UX solutions based on testing and feedback.
  • Improve onboarding and tutorial experiences for new players.
  • Help establish UI/UX standards, documentation and workflows across the studio.
  • Ensure UI systems function well across PC, console, handheld, controller and VR platforms.
  • Advocate for accessibility, readability and usability best practices.
  • Work directly inside Unity to implement, test or iterate UI layouts where required.
  • Review existing systems and identify opportunities for UX improvements and quality-of-life features.
  • Support the long-term visual consistency and usability of the game as new content and systems are added.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
