We are seeking an experienced Senior UK Payroll and HR Specialist (part-time & remote) to play a key role in establishing and supporting the UK operations of an international organisation within the pharmaceutical sector.
This is an exciting and pivotal role to set up a UK payroll and HR function and would suit a hands-on, pragmatic HR professional. You would take ownership of UK payroll, benefits and HR administration, helping build robust processes as the business establishes and grows its UK presence.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end UK payroll, working closely with external payroll providers.
- Oversee benefits administration, pensions and employee-related processes.
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll regulations, employment legislation and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate HR administration, employee records and employment documentation.
- Support the establishment and ongoing administration of the UK legal entity.
- Collaborate with international HR, Finance and external advisers to develop efficient, scalable processes.

About you
- Proven, hands-on experience managing UK payroll and benefits.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance and pensions.
- Broad experience across HR administration, compliance and related financial or administrative activities.
- Experience supporting a new UK entity, start-up or growing international business would be highly advantageous.
- A proactive, adaptable and pragmatic approach, with the confidence to work autonomously.

The opportunity
- Part-time position: approximately 20 hours per week, ideally across five days.
- Initially remote, with the opportunity for the role to evolve alongside the UK business.
- A pivotal role with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape local HR and payroll operations from the outset.
