We're hiring: Senior Unity Technical Artist

We're a new independent game studio looking for an experienced Senior Unity Technical Artist to help establish the technical and visual pipeline for an original Unity title currently in development.

This is a fully remote position and is open to experienced talent worldwide. No relocation required.

The project is still early, so we're keeping its identity and broader concept private for now.

What we can share is that we're building around a 3D production pipeline with a highly stylized final presentation, modular characters, dynamic environments and responsive action gameplay.

We're a new studio building our first game, but we're intentionally investing in experienced specialists early. We're looking for someone genuinely excellent at what they do and are willing to pay accordingly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're looking for substantial professional experience with:

  • Unity
  • Shader development
  • VFX
  • Lighting and look development
  • Stylized rendering
  • Materials and asset integration
  • Profiling and optimization
  • Rendering/post-processing
  • Scalable art pipeline development
  • Git/version control
  • Working closely with programmers, animators, and 3D artists

This will be a hands-on role with meaningful ownership.

We want someone who can help establish how the game's visual style actually works inside Unity, rather than simply implementing an already completed art direction.

You'll be helping solve challenges around stylized 3D rendering, modular assets, dynamic environments, gameplay VFX, lighting, performance, and overall visual cohesion.
