Your Impact
Your expertise will help our clients make informed decisions that improve water quality, reduce flood risk and create more resilient communities. By delivering technically robust modelling solutions, you'll influence investment planning and help shape sustainable infrastructure for the future.
Working alongside industry-leading specialists, you'll contribute to innovative approaches that combine engineering excellence with digital technology. You'll also play an important role in developing the next generation of modellers, strengthening our technical capability while helping deliver outstanding outcomes for our clients and the environment.
About The Role
You will play a key role in delivering complex urban drainage projects for Scottish Water and other regulated water clients, while supporting the continued growth of our modelling capability. The role is based in our Edinburgh office with hybrid working.
You will develop, calibrate and analyse InfoWorks ICM models to inform strategic and operational solutions, and you will coordinate project delivery to make sure technical quality, programme and budget objectives are met.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally, contribute to client meetings, technical reports and project planning, and support and mentor junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Deliver high-quality urban drainage modelling projects across regulated water frameworks.
- Develop, calibrate and analyse InfoWorks ICM models that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Coordinate project delivery so technical quality, programme and budget objectives are achieved.
- Help clients make informed decisions that improve water quality, reduce flood risk and create more resilient communities.
- Influence investment planning and help shape sustainable infrastructure for the future.
- Contribute to client meetings, technical reports and project planning.
- Bring engineering excellence together with digital technology to develop innovative approaches.
- Mentor junior modellers, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.

About You
Essential
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience delivering urban drainage modelling projects.
- Excellent working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM.
- Experience coordinating project delivery and managing technical outputs.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Able to mentor and support less experienced team members.
- Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant professional institution such as CIWEM or ICE.
Desirable
- Experience working on UK regulated water company frameworks.
- Experience with digital tools, automation or data analytics.
- Chartered, or actively working towards Chartered status.
