Senior USA Recruitment Consultant
St Albans, Hertfordshire
£35,000 – £45,000 + Commission & Bonus
A Different Kind of Recruitment Role
If you've spent the last couple of years doing UK recruitment and you're starting to wonder whether the grass might actually be greener somewhere, this could be worth a read.
We're a boutique firm based in St. Albans specialising in senior placements across the US market. It's a space that doesn't get talked about enough in UK recruitment circles, but the reality is the fees are higher, the competition is lower, and the market is more stable than what most consultants are used to over here. We've got an established client base and genuine repeat business, which makes a big difference to how you spend your time.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We're looking for someone to join the team as a 360 consultant, working alongside two of our top billers. You'll be doing real work from day one, but you'll also have people around you who know this market inside out and are happy to share what they know.
What the Role Actually Looks Like
- Senior international placements with clients who understand the value of good recruitment
- Full 360 responsibility, business development through to placement
- A market where building genuine relationships matters more than volume
- Support from experienced consultants rather than being thrown in at the deep end

What We're Looking For
You'll need at least 12 months of recruitment experience and a decent track record to point to. Beyond that, we're more interested in how you work than where you've worked. If you're consultative, you take your candidates and clients seriously, and you're looking for somewhere you can actually develop rather than just hit a number, we'd like to hear from you.
The Practical Stuff
- Base salary £35,000 – £45,500 depending on experience, with an uncapped commission structure.
- The OTE is genuinely strong given the seniority of what we place.
- We're based in St Albans, which works well for anyone commuting from across Herts, Beds and Bucks.
