Senior User Experience Designer (f/m/d)

What to expect:

The Senior User Experience Designer (UXD) is responsible for creating leading-edge, goal-directed design solutions for Mouser's website, including the design of responsive web applications, mobile applications, and HTML content pages. This is a highly collaborative role in which the UXD will work closely with other UXDs, User Interface Designers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, and business stakeholders.

  • Deliver on project requirements by researching, designing, prototyping, and testing design solutions for an ecommerce platform.
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and written documentation to communicate interface elements and interactions.
  • Provide elegant solutions to design problems that balance user goals with business requirements and technical limitations.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to promote designs that are both technically feasible and resource economical.
  • Analyse and leverage user research, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings to tailor interfaces to meet specific needs and objectives.
  • Read, analyse, and understand documents that provide information used in the course of projects (requirements, surveys, reports, etc.).
  • Manage time and schedule in order to meet and exceed commitment to project delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in goal-directed design and usability principles.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in positions focused on designing user interfaces for ecommerce.
  • Profound experience in performing user research and usability testing.
  • Portfolio of printed or electronic samples demonstrating experience.
  • Wide experience with industry-related UX software such as Axure and Sketch as well as experience in practical application of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadline deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local language and ability to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Highly effective teamwork and interpersonal skills with wide target audiences.
  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.

The salary range for this position is GBP 45,000 - GBP 50,000.
