Contract Senior UX Designer (with Post-Booking Experience)
📍 Hybrid – central London (1–2 days/week in London office)
⏳ 6 months, likely to extend
💷 £500-525 per day – Outside IR35
A leading travel brand is looking for a senior UX designer to shape what happens after a customer books, with particular focus on what happens when things go wrong.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing the post-booking journey across web and native apps, from pre-travel through to on-the-day
- Tackling disruption scenarios (delays, cancellations, rebooking, refunds) and designing how digital helps customers recover from them
- Getting to grips with the operational side so solutions work in the real world, not just on screen
- Planning and running research and usability testing, then iterating on the findings
- Working closely with product, engineering, operations and wider stakeholders

- Recent experience designing post-booking experiences
- Strong end-to-end UX experience across web and mobile apps
- Solid research and testing skills, with evidence of how insight changed your designs
- Experience within travel or ecommerce would be ideal
- Confident handling stakeholders and linking your work to business metrics
