UX Designer | Inventory Management (Greenfield) | Remote UK | £500/day Outside IR35

Contract: 2–3 months | Remote (UK) | £500 per day, Outside IR35

We're looking for a UX Designer to join a greenfield inventory management project, embedded within the project delivery team from discovery through to UI delivery.

The role

You'll own the full design lifecycle, from problem definition and research through to high-fidelity prototyping, working closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to make sure decisions are grounded in real user and system understanding before they reach build.

What you'll be doing

• Discovery & problem definition: running research with stakeholders and end users, facilitating problem-framing sessions, and translating upstream requirements and BA specs into validated problem statements before design work begins.
• Design & prototyping: producing wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, aligned to the existing design system, and developing solutions in collaboration with product and engineering leads that balance user needs against technical feasibility.
• User testing: planning and running usability testing ahead of build and release, analysing behavioural data to iterate on designs, and presenting findings to stakeholders and the wider design team.
• Collaboration: working within the team's sprint cadence while maintaining the design direction and standards set by the Design Lead, and facilitating workshops to build shared understanding of user needs.
• Documentation: maintaining traceability between requirements and design output, and contributing findings and decisions to the central insight repository.
