Role Description
Senior User Experience Designer - Banking
The Senior User Experience Designer - Banking will lead end-to-end UX design for digital banking products in a remote, contract capacity. This role involves conducting user research, translating insights into customer journeys, and creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile experiences. The designer will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, align on design direction, and ensure solutions meet regulatory and industry standards.

- Facilitating design workshops
- Iterating on designs based on feedback and testing
- Documenting design specifications
- Advocating for user-centered decisions across the product lifecycle
- Mentoring other designers
- Contributing to design best practices and reusable design systems
Qualifications
- Strong user-centered design capabilities, including User Experience (UX) expertise and applied Design Thinking skills.
- Proficiency in User Research methods such as interviews, usability testing, and journey mapping to inform design decisions.
- Advanced Prototyping skills for web and mobile interfaces using modern design tools (e.g., Figma).
- Solid Visual Design skills, including layout, typography, information hierarchy, and design system usage.
- Demonstrated experience designing complex banking or financial services products (e.g., retail banking, payments, lending, wealth management).
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to non-design stakeholders and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in agile or product-led environments, with comfort managing multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work, including research, interaction design, visual design, and outcomes.
- Comfort working remotely, with strong self-management, documentation, and communication skills.
