AgileSource are looking for an SC Cleared, Senior User Researcher for an initial 6 Month Contract.
1 Day Per Week (London Preferred)
£600 - £650 P.D - Inside IR35
Start Date: Subject to SC Transfer
We are seeking an experienced Senior User Researcher to join a high-profile programme delivering complex digital services within a large public sector environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, helping shape and improve services through user-centred research and evidence-based decision making.
The Role
As a Senior User Researcher, you will lead the planning, design and delivery of user research activities across a range of complex services and programmes. Working within agile teams, you'll help ensure services are designed around genuine user needs while supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering end-to-end user research activities.
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
- Identifying user needs and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Working closely with service designers, content designers, delivery managers and technical teams.
- Engaging with specialist user groups and complex stakeholder communities.
- Presenting research findings to senior stakeholders and influencing service decisions.
- Supporting user-centred design best practice within multidisciplinary teams.
- Delivering research at pace within an agile delivery environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Senior User Researcher.
- Experience delivering research within large, complex organisations.
- Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies.
- Ability to independently select and apply a variety of research methods.
- Experience conducting research with specialist users and complex user groups.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Government or wider public sector experience.
- Minimum of 2 years operating at Senior User Researcher level.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within cyber security, risk, assurance or security-focused services.
- Experience establishing or improving user research practices and functions.
- Experience working on complex business-critical digital services.
- Previous experience within central government or large public sector programmes.
Clearance
Candidates must hold:
- Active SC Clearance; or
- Lapsed SC Clearance capable of transfer/reactivation.
