MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product design, leading and shipping consumer mobile products.
  • 4 years of direct people management experience.
  • Experience in building and shipping AI products, and integrating AI/ML technologies into user workflows, and using AI-driven tools to design workflows.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in resolving complex technical and organizational constraints, particularly within in-car platforms or mobile ecosystems.
  • Experience translating evolving directions into user-centric approaches and driving impact across multiple cross-product initiatives with a group of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using data and user analytics to inform design strategy and measure business impact.
  • Ability to influence executives and cross-functional partners through compelling goal narratives.
  • Strong grasp of emerging AI technology and trends.

ABOUT THE JOB:

At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a UX Design Manager, you will drive this goal by defining product strategy, mitigating complexity, and conceptualizing ecosystem-level UX. You are a systems-level thinker and a fierce advocate for both your users and your team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive the development and adoption of a modular, and API-first Continuous Delivery ecosystem that unifies policy enforcement, observability, and infrastructure orchestration across all Google environments to accelerate developer velocity, supporting Google's CD tools that handle 154+ million deployments annually across Alphabet.
  • Transform how production incidents are detected, mitigated, and managed, centering the strategy on Autonomous AI agents which will forecast and mitigate potential outages before they ever manifest.
  • Deliver a simple, intelligent, and comprehensive platform that ensures unified and reliable observability across Alphabet by leveraging AI/ML for proactive insights and automated solutions, while providing personalized, adaptive user experiences.
  • Build Cloud’s unified, enterprise-grade AI foundation that enables developers and organizations to build, scale, govern, and optimize autonomous agents across multi-cloud environments.
