Senior UX Designer (Contract) role for Customer Fulfilment team at Tesco Technology.
Full-time
£500 day rate (within IR35)
6-months (unlikely to be extended)
Immediate start in August or beginning of September
Hybrid office arrangement: at least 3 days in the office – Tuesdays in London office (Farringdon), Wednesdays / Thursdays in Welwyn Garden City Head Office. From time to time, visits to Tesco stores or fulfilment sites are essential
The area:
Designing Tesco colleague experiences (internal tools, systems, & processes) related to picking customers' online orders. The end-to-end processes are a mixture of online and offline experiences.

The requirements:
- Some experience in discovery and research (in order to 'design the right thing'); interest in both qualitative and quantitative data – you don't have to be amazing at it or be very strategic with the discovery you've done; as long as you can inform decisions with your findings, that's what's needed.
- Interested in shaping up requirements as a partner to product management.
- Experience in framing problems / opportunities by understanding user needs / business needs / jobs to be done.
- Experience in 'design the thing right' – exploring concepts, co-create, narrow down options by considering pros and cons (incl. viability, desirability, feasibility).
- Stakeholder management; building relationships, understanding diverse set of views, and influencing others.
- Work in an environment where UX is not fully understood – being a champion of human-centred-design.
- Interested in quantified user experience; e.g. usability metrics.
- Interested or experience in using AI to improve design process.
- Permission to work full-time in the UK (visa sponsorship for this role isn't possible)
