The opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior UX Researcher to join an innovative AI and scientific research team within a leading global technology organisation.
You will join a zero-to-one product team exploring emerging generative AI products and solutions for a specialist user community. Working alongside UX Researchers, UX Designers, Product Managers and Engineers, you will lead foundational research that helps the team understand users, uncover opportunities and shape early product direction.
This role requires someone who thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where the problem space, user needs and potential solutions are still evolving.
Key responsibilities
- Lead qualitative and foundational research for emerging AI products.
- Own research from initial scoping and planning through to recruitment, execution, analysis and reporting.
- Conduct research using methods such as interviews, usability studies, contextual inquiry and surveys.
- Explore user needs, behaviours and opportunities within complex or ambiguous problem spaces.
- Translate findings into clear recommendations that influence product strategy, design and launch decisions.
- Partner closely with UX Design, Product Management and Engineering throughout the product-development lifecycle.
- Adapt traditional research methods to support a rapidly developing product environment.
- Establish a strategic research direction while keeping real user needs central to decision-making.
- Communicate complex insights clearly and persuasively to senior and executive stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
