About Us

MVF is a media and marketing business that connects customers with the brands they're ready to buy. We work across the full funnel - building demand, capturing real intent, and helping our clients meet those people at exactly the right moment. It's a genuinely data-driven business, and research plays a central role in how we make decisions.

Job Overview

We're looking for a Senior User Researcher to join us on a fixed-term contract covering maternity leave - someone who can own research end-to-end, from framing the right questions through to influencing decisions with confidence.

The role will primarily focus on the B2B side of the business, working closely with marketing, design, product, and sales to understand customer behaviours, needs, and motivations - conducting qualitative research that shapes the products and strategies we use to connect our clients with customers ready to buy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end research projects, from problem definition and scoping through to synthesis, recommendations, and stakeholder alignment, to answer B2B, B2C and internal research questions:
    • Frame ambiguous or complex problems, identifying the most appropriate research approach and defining clear next steps.
    • Plan and execute a range of qualitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews, usability testing, and concept testing, to uncover customer needs, behaviours, and motivations.
    • Collaborate with the CRO (conversion rate optimisation) team to combine qualitative and quantitative insights, generating actionable opportunities. Contributes to quantitative methods such as survey design or A/B test input where needed.
    • Analyze qualitative data to uncover patterns and generate actionable insights.
    • Document research findings and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders, translating insights into recommendations that directly inform product and business decisions.
    • Support product and design teams in applying research effectively, helping them access, interpret and act on insights.
    • Maintain and contribute to our research repository in Dovetail, keeping insights accessible and reusable across teams.
    • Prioritise and manage multiple concurrent research projects, balancing competing timelines without compromising quality.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the organisation - including design, marketing, product, sales, and engineering - acting as the voice of the customer and championing their needs, to help our prioritised workstreams deliver user-centred solutions that improve experience and conversion, and align to business goals.
  • Design and facilitate UX workshops, allowing teams to take action on the insights delivered.
  • Collaborate with the wider UX team to deliver effective and efficient work across the business.
  • Support the development of research operations - processes, tooling and best practice - including adopting AI tools and features to optimise research and other workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
