Company Description
Adam Partridge Auctioneers & Valuers is a specialist auction house focused on fine art, antiques, and collectibles, offering a personal and considerate service to clients for whom consigning items can be emotional and significant. The team includes experienced valuers with diverse expertise in specialist areas, supported by dedicated nationwide salerooms.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough valuations for Auction, Insurance and Probate of Antiques, Jewellery, Silver, Fine Art, Furniture and Collectibles, and other items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and review valuation reports, auction estimates, catalogue descriptions and condition reports to ensure accuracy and consistency, especially for high and mid value items.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients across various business sectors
- Seek new development opportunities, keeping in line with the Company’s strategies and values
- Work collaboratively with other Senior Managers across all sites and departments.
- Support and contribute to marketing activity for auctions, valuation days and business initiatives, working in conjunction with the print and digital Marketing Function.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities that align with the Company's strategy and values.
- Develop partnerships and local initiatives that increase the Company's profile and create measurable business opportunities.
Valuations
- Build strong partnerships with local organisations and identified collaborative opportunities to enhance the company’s profile, generate new business to support business growth.
- Prepare, review and provide senior professional input on valuations, auction estimates, catalogue descriptions, condition reports and other auction-related documentation.
Marketing
- Keep up to date with local events and marketing opportunities to promote valuation and auction days, communicating with the Marketing Team to maximise promotional opportunities.

Professional Development
- Support the development of the London Saleroom in conjunction with the Office and Saleroom Manager.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, specialist guidance and professional support to colleagues and maintain high standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Valuer, preferably with a focus on Antiques, Fine Art, Jewellery, Silver, and Collectables
- In-depth knowledge of auction procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
- A passion for Antiques, History, and Auctions, coupled with a professional approach to your work.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving.
- Full, clean driving licence
- Proven IT and photography skills
