Senior Verification & Validation Engineer
Do you want to define how the next generation of robots are tested, validated, and released?
Interested in building the testing standards and infrastructure that will define how autonomous robots are validated at scale?
One of our robotics partners is continuing to scale its autonomous robotics platform - and they’re looking for a Senior Verification & Validation Engineer to take ownership of the testing strategy across their robotics products.
This is a highly influential role sitting at the intersection of robotics, software, hardware, autonomy, and data. You'll be key in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex robotic systems, working across hardware, software, autonomy, and data capture.
You’ll establish the testing framework, build the gold-standard testing environment, define performance benchmarks, and ultimately be responsible for approving production software releases.
Your role:
- Own the overall verification and validation strategy across the robotics platform
- Develop and implement hardware and software testing procedures across multiple engineering teams
- Lead the establishment of a state-of-the-art testing environment for continuous robot testing
- Develop meaningful benchmarks to measure autonomy, data capture, and wider system performance
- Create repeatable testing standards that can be used across different teams and product areas
- Own the testing and approval process for production-grade software releases
- Establish streamlined workflows for software versioning and release management
- Implement a predictable release candidate cadence across the robotics platform
- Work cross-functionally to test new features, assess system performance, and validate bug fixes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is more than traditional QA or software testing - you’ll help define the standards, infrastructure, and processes that determine whether autonomous robotic systems are ready for production.
Ideally you have:
- Strong experience in software and hardware testing, verification, validation, or quality assurance
- A proven track record of testing complex robotic or autonomous systems
- Strong knowledge of mobile robotics, autonomy, and data capture technologies
- Experience with test automation tools and methodologies
- Experience developing structured testing strategies, procedures, and performance benchmarks
- Strong understanding of software release processes and production-grade validation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across hardware, software, autonomy, and product teams
