Team/Role Overview:
Citi Commercial Cards is the leading provider of Charge Card solutions to multi-national corporations and public sector organizations, offering global payment capabilities in over 100 countries. Together, the Travel & Entertainment (T&E) and Business-to-Business (B2B) product lines form the core of Citi’s business expense management offering, leveraged by over 8 million cardholders around the world.
Reporting to the Head of Citi Commercial Cards - UK & Europe clusters, this senior role is responsible for leading Citi's strategy and execution of T&E business and Digital capabilities across UK and Europe.
The role carries responsibility for overseeing all of Citi’s T&E products and solutions including Walking Plastic Cards, Virtual Cards, Central Travel Account, Meetings/Events related solutions amongst others. In addition, the role also includes responsibility for overseeing our digital channels.
The role will work closely with global commercial cards product leads, Sales, Client Executives and functions such as Onboarding, Operations, Technology, Service, Compliance, and others to drive meaningful outcomes and deliver on Citi’s growth ambitions.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in Commercial Cards or Payments space, demonstrated Product Management expertise and new Product/solution roll out experience, sharp commercial acumen and awareness of relevant innovations and market dynamics to capitalize on growth opportunities.
What you’ll do:
Product Management
- End-to-end ownership of all Products and Solutions within the T&E space across UK and Europe.
- Lead the end-to-end product launch lifecycle for new products and capabilities, including the implementation of new Virtual Card offerings and the rollout of the mobile Virtual Card Account offering.
- Develop detailed product requirements for business and regulatory enhancements and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including design, technology, legal, risk, fraud) to implement the required enhancements by overseeing functional scope, testing and go live readiness.
- Drive enhancements to our dual network issuance proposition, supporting the transformation of Commercial Cards services towards a digital-centric and API-led offering.
- Deep dive into existing portfolio to identify opportunities, look out for trends, mitigate risks and drive revenue growth and margin improvement.

Commercialisation & Growth
- Provide client pitch support, develop compelling use cases, and conduct competitive intelligence mapping to drive commercial success for T&E and digital capabilities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Client Executives, and Onboarding Managers to identify market opportunities and support strategic business growth initiatives.
Subject Matter Expertise & Senior Representation
- This is a senior role, with ownership of T&E product strategy, product positioning, business management, sales enablement, and partnership/alliance development and management across UK and Europe. The role requires interaction with senior leadership on a regular basis.
- Act as a lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) to consult for various functions, providing consultative support to Sales, Account Management, On-boarding, Technology, Operations, and other teams with detailed technical understanding of our system, platform, and digital features & solutions.
- Maintain and grow relationships within T&E vertical with Networks, Partners, and broader ecosystem players.
What we’ll need from you:
- Relevant industry experience, preferably across the banking & payments space. Commercial or consumer cards experience strongly encouraged.
- Results-oriented, critical thinker, with strong commercial skills.
- Capability to communicate at all levels and to work in cross-functionally / highly matrixed environment.
- Strong project management skills, able to understand & influence large projects and development cycles. Project Management certification a plus (Prince2, PMP). Familiarity with main product development methods (Agile, SAFe) will also be helpful.
- Ability to optimize product and GTM decisions in a complex environment with competing opportunities.
- University degree (Bachelor and above) in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems.
