At ICON, we are seeking a visionary and commercially minded Senior Vice President, Strategic Solutions to lead the development and execution of innovative Functional Service Provider (FSP) and strategic outsourcing solutions for some of the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare organizations.
This executive leadership role is responsible for shaping client-centric strategies that drive sustainable growth, strengthen strategic partnerships, and deliver operational excellence across a global organization. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and executive stakeholders, leveraging deep industry expertise to develop differentiated solutions that address evolving market needs and accelerate customer success. The ideal leader combines strong executive presence with operational depth, bringing the ability to engage confidently with C-suite executives while also translating complex operational challenges into scalable, innovative solutions.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development and execution of global strategic solutions that support business growth, client retention, and market differentiation.
- Partner with executive leadership to define long-term FSP and outsourcing strategies aligned with organizational priorities and industry trends.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and develop innovative service offerings that strengthen ICON's competitive position.
- Serve as a senior executive sponsor and trusted advisor for key strategic accounts and partnerships.
- Engage directly with executive-level client stakeholders to articulate industry trends, workforce evolution, and the future of clinical development delivery models.
- Support business development efforts by helping clients solve complex operational challenges through tailored strategic solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research ecosystem.
- Provide executive oversight for large-scale global operations, ensuring consistent delivery, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across clinical operations, program management, strategic partnerships, delivery teams, and commercial organizations.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and business performance.
- Lead organizational transformation efforts that support growth and operational maturity.
- Inspire and develop high-performing global teams within a complex matrix environment.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to senior leaders while building organizational capability for future growth.

Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant senior leadership experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or healthcare services industry.
- Demonstrated success leading strategic business initiatives, building client partnerships, and driving organizational growth.
- Experience operating within FSP delivery models.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and navigate complex global organizations.
- Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams and managing organizations with significant global headcount.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly at the C-suite level.
- Deep understanding of clinical development and evolving delivery models across the drug development landscape.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinking balanced with operational rigor and execution excellence.
- The ability to translate market insights into scalable solutions that create value for clients and the business.
- A collaborative leadership style with a track record of leading through influence and driving results across functions.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally, as needed
- Live in US, UK, or Ireland
