WE’RE HIRING: SENIOR YOUTUBE EDITOR

HAMLIN is looking for a Senior YouTube Editor to join our growing production team in London. HAMLIN is a London production studio building shows, not content. We create and produce podcasts, YouTube series, commercial films, and original entertainment formats from development through to delivery. We’re deliberately building a small, specialist team capable of producing work at an extremely high level and this role will become a major part of our YouTube division as it grows.

  • Salary: £40,000–£45,000 annual
  • Position: Full-time
  • Location: Hybrid / London

We’re an independent production studio creating award-winning podcasts, premium YouTube series, branded films, and original formats for some of the UK’s leading talent, founders, and brands. And YouTube is becoming a major part of where we’re going next. We’re looking for an editor who genuinely understands YouTube. Not just someone who can make something look polished.

Someone who understands storytelling, retention, pacing, and why people keep watching.

The Job/Role

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll take ownership of the post-production of HAMLIN’s growing slate of premium YouTube shows.

  • Think:
    • Founder-led YouTube series
    • Documentary-style interviews
    • Vlogs and behind-the-scenes films
    • Talent-led entertainment formats and original shows

You’ll work closely with me and producers in the in-house team to take footage from shoot through to finished film, helping us develop repeatable editing styles and formats across each channel.

You need to be brilliant at:

  • Long-form YouTube editing
  • Story and narrative structure
  • Creating strong openings and hooks
  • Retention-focused pacing
  • Music and sound design
  • Motion graphics and animated text
  • B-roll and visual storytelling
  • Building personality into an edit
  • Finding moments that make people want to keep watching
  • Taking creative direction while bringing your own ideas

You should understand the difference between editing a nice video and editing a great YouTube video. We want someone who watches YouTube, studies YouTube, and understands what is working on the platform now. We’re looking for someone ambitious who wants to become a key part of what we’re building.
