Senior Editor / Camera Operator

Salary: £32,000-£40,000
Experience: 3-5 years
Location: [Insert location / hybrid details]

We’re looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Senior Editor / Camera Operator to join our video production team.
This is a key creative role for someone who can confidently lead on both filming and post-production, producing polished, visually engaging and original video content for a wide range of client projects.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of shoots and edits, deliver client-ready work with minimal additional input, and help support the development of more junior members of the team.

The Role

As Senior Editor / Camera Operator, you’ll be responsible for creating high-quality, distinctive video content across promotional films, social media campaigns, interviews, testimonials and event coverage.
You’ll bring strong storytelling instincts, advanced post-production skills and confident technical knowledge across camera, lighting and sound. You’ll also help raise creative standards across the team by sharing feedback, suggesting new approaches and contributing to the overall quality of our output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, film and edit high-quality video content for a range of client projects.
  • Produce visually original and cinematic footage that enhances the story, tone and impact of each piece.
  • Deliver polished, client-ready edits that align with briefs, brand guidelines and project objectives.
  • Operate and maintain camera, lighting and audio equipment to a high professional standard.
  • Lead confidently on location and studio setups, with strong attention to lighting, composition and camera movement.
  • Safely back up and manage footage in line with internal storage and archiving processes.
  • Edit and assemble footage using strong judgement around pacing, sound design, colour, motion graphics and narrative flow.
  • Maintain organised post-production workflows, including project versioning, structured file management and archiving.
  • Review the work of more junior team members, providing constructive feedback and practical support.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, marketers, freelancers and clients to shape creative direction and delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technology and production techniques.
  • Proactively suggest new tools, approaches and efficiencies that could improve the quality of our work.
  • Take ownership of your own skills development through training, experimentation and R&D where appropriate.
  • Uphold high standards in storytelling, creativity and professionalism.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
