About OneMountain Media
OneMountain Media is a video production company specialising in the built environment.
We work with contractors, architects, developers, consultants, manufacturers and other construction businesses to create high-quality video content that showcases their projects, people and expertise.
Our productions range from construction site updates, case study videos to interviews, brand films, social content and large-scale building documentation.
As we continue to grow, we're building a reliable network of Senior Video Editors who can take ownership of post-production projects and consistently deliver exceptional work.
The Role
We're looking for experienced, creative and highly dependable Senior Video Editors to work alongside our Director, Laurens Koster, and the wider OneMountain Media team.
You'll be responsible for turning raw footage into compelling, polished films that communicate a clear message, tell engaging stories and achieve our clients' objectives.
This isn't simply a role for someone who can cut footage together. We're looking for editors who understand storytelling, pacing, emotion, visual composition, sound design and the strategic purpose behind a video.
Our productions are often interview-led, meaning you'll need to identify the strongest soundbites, structure narratives and build compelling stories from hours of footage.
You'll be expected to work independently, make confident creative decisions and take ownership of projects from initial assembly through to final delivery.
One day you may be editing an architectural case study; another could involve creating a brand film, construction documentary or a series of short-form videos.
We're primarily looking for people who are reliable, detail-oriented, creative, proactive and capable of delivering consistently high-quality work without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may vary depending on the production but can include:
- Reviewing, organising and processing raw footage, audio and project assets.
- Building stories that align with our client’s business and communication objectives.
- Editing high-quality case studies, brand films, project documentaries, site updates, project showcase videos and short form edits.
- Select music and maintain strong pacing.
- Colour grading footage.
- Incorporating graphics, titles, subtitles and other visual elements where required.
- Managing feedback and implementing revisions accurately.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve an edit beyond the initial brief.
- Exporting and delivering videos according to the required technical specifications.
- Maintaining organised project files and timelines.
- Communicating project progress and challenges clearly.
Editing Software & Workflow
DaVinci Resolve is mandatory.
We use DaVinci Resolve as our primary editing and post-production platform, including collaborative workflows through Blackmagic Cloud and LucidLink.
This includes:
- Working with DaVinci Resolve Studio.
- Working with shared projects and cloud-based timelines.
- Organising footage, bins, timelines and media consistently.
- Following our naming conventions and project structures.
- Preparing projects so that another editor can easily take over if required.
- Delivering final exports in the correct formats and specifications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Experience with Fusion and Fairlight is advantageous but not absolutely necessary.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:
- Reliable If you commit to a project and deadlines, we need to know you’ll deliver. Missed deadlines can have significant consequences for our clients and wider production schedule.
- Proactive You don’t simply wait for feedback. You identify weaknesses in a story, suggest improvements and solve problems independently.
- Story-Driven You can turn hours of interviews into a concise, compelling narrative. You understand what to include, but more importantly exclude, to make every second count.
- Detail-Oriented You notice small things: awkward cuts, inconsistent audio, poor pacing, spelling errors and visual distractions.
- Independent You can take a creative brief and confidently work towards a finished product without requiring constant direction.
- Open to Feedback You can receive constructive criticism professionally and implement changes without becoming defensive. You understand that the objective is to create the best possible outcome.
- Calm Under Pressure Deadlines can change, feedback can arrive late and projects sometimes require a quick turnaround. You remain composed and communicate clearly.
Experience
We’re looking for experienced editors who have a proven track record of delivering professional videos.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, or an equivalent portfolio demonstrating senior-level ability.
- Extensive experience using DaVinci Resolve.
- A strong portfolio of commercial video work.
- Experience editing interview-led documentary style videos.
- Sufficient colour correction, audio and sound design skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working independently with limited supervision.
- Experience collaborating with directors, producers and other editors.
- Previous experience editing content for construction, architecture, property and design industries is beneficial but not essential.
Useful Skills
The following are advantageous but not all required:
- Advanced DaVinci Resolve knowledge.
- Experience editing footage from Sony FX3, FX6 and other professional cinema cameras.
- Experience editing multicam interviews.
- Experience creating documentary-style films.
- Experience working with architectural and construction footage.
- Experience editing longer-form Youtube content.
Equipment & Technical Requirements
As this is primarily a remote freelance role, you must have access to a professional editing setup capable of handling demanding video projects.
This includes:
- DaVinci Resolve Studio.
- A computer capable of smoothly editing 4K, h.265, 10-bit footage.
- A reliable, high-speed internet connection.
- Sufficient local storage for active projects (~300GB)
You must be comfortable working with high-resolution footage and following our data management and security procedures.
Typical Editing Project
Depending on the production, a typical project might involve receiving a creative brief, accessing the footage through our shared storage system, reviewing interviews and transcripts, identifying key themes and developing a narrative structure.
You'll then build an initial rough cut, select suitable supporting footage, refine the pacing and storytelling, and prepare the film for internal review.

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Following feedback, you'll develop the edit further, complete the sound design, colour correction and graphics, and prepare a polished version for client review.
You'll implement any agreed revisions before exporting the final deliverables and ensuring the project is properly organised and backed up.
Some projects may require quick turnarounds, while others may involve several weeks of editing and collaboration.
Quality Standards
At OneMountain Media, we place significant importance on the quality of our work. We deliver a 100% ready to go product upon 1st Cut Delivery.
We are expected to do our client’s businesses and projects justice. Your role is to do the footage justice.
This means:
- Every edit should have a clear purpose and narrative.
- Music should support the story and reflect personalities and project look.
- Interview narratives should flow naturally.
- Colour grading should be cohesive.
- Cuts and transitions should feel intentional.
- All files should be checked before delivery.
We don’t expect perfection whilst in draft, but we do expect a high attention to detail and ownership upon delivery.
What We Provide
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Work on high-quality commercial video productions.
- Edit project films, short documentary-style videos, case studies and brand films.
- Work directly with our Director, Laurens Koster, and develop long-term working relationships with our production team.
- Work on projects that document the UK’s largest and most interesting buildings and developments.
- Receive clear briefs, organised footage and constructive feedback.
- Grow into more senior creative or post-production responsibilities over time.
We're particularly interested in building relationships with reliable editors we can work with repeatedly, rather than simply outsourcing individual projects.
Freelance Availability
This is primarily a freelance/project-based position, with work offered depending on our production schedule.
We're looking to build a trusted network of Senior Video Editors who can regularly support our post-production workload.
The Person We're Looking For
Above everything else, we're looking for someone who is dependable, creatively ambitious, proactive and enjoyable to work with.
We want editors who care about the final result, take ownership of their work and understand that great storytelling is at the heart of what we do.
Technical skills are important, but so are reliability, communication, attention to detail and a willingness to continually improve.
We're not looking for someone who simply follows instructions and assembles footage.
We're looking for someone who thinks like a filmmaker, edits like a storyteller and takes responsibility like a senior professional.
If you're interested in creating high-quality films for the construction and built-environment industry, we'd like to hear from you.
