COMPANY DESCRIPTION
London Podcast Studios is an independent recording studio and agency located in the Whitechapel area of London, dedicated to podcasting. We aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for podcasters, brands/businesses and content creators. Our studios offer flexible hourly or monthly packages for audio and video recording, catering to the needs of those looking to achieve their podcasting and content creation goals.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Videographer to support our audio and visual production efforts for online content creators and brands/businesses. We are after someone with minimum 2 years in-house experience in a similar capacity and eager to grow with a small business.
The Senior Videographer will work closely with the Studio Manager, Junior Videographer and Video Editor to record and edit podcasts, provide assistance and technical support to content creators and staff, establish new operating processes and maintain successful daily operations of the studio facilities.
You will also be filming/editing conversational style episodic content, capturing photos and recording audio for our direct business clients, while working to tight deadlines. You’ll be actively contributing creative ideas for original shows & providing innovative solutions for content, with the confidence to provide a positive customer experience.
This position would be suited to a talented creative with a passion for the digital content space looking to carve out their career in an in-house role within a new media focused agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for handling studio podcast/vodcast bookings as well as capturing video & photo content for clients. This includes setting up and maintaining DSLR cameras, microphones, sound mixers and other audio/visual equipment such as LED lighting and live switchers. You will be managing customer media files in our data archive and editing both short and long form multi-camera content for digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X, formerly Twitter.
Further responsibilities include:
- Opening and/or shutting studio facilities as scheduled.
- Assisting customers & staff with troubleshooting and/or proper use of media equipment and software.
- Check-in and check-out audio and video equipment rentals, ensuring items are returned in working order.
- Research, troubleshoot, and perform routine equipment and software checks & upgrades.
- Communicate policies to customers and staff, regarding equipment, studio booking, and general facility use.
- Maintain media database with current and accurate information of equipment and customer files.
- Troubleshoot emergencies and report any major issues to a manager on duty.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff and new hires.
- Provide support for department initiatives as requested, including monthly newsletter and social media.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Please only apply if you have at least 2 years experience working in a similar role in-house at a production company, agency or studio, with the ability to record both video and audio content. You are driven by curiosity and have a self-starter attitude to make things happen without being told. You are a problem-solver who can tackle difficult questions to find solutions for client problems.

- Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop)
- Creative flair with video editing and colour correction using DaVinci Resolve preferred
- Knowledge and operating experience of Digital video cameras including Sony & Blackmagic
- Understanding of audio recording mixers, microphone types and post-production sound mixing/design
- Good eye for cinematography and framing, evidenced in a strong portfolio
- Strong knowledge of Graphic Design and appreciation for branding on social media
- Proven track record of high customer service skills both in person and with businesses
- Self-starter and can-do attitude to audio visual production
Strong knowledge and passion for the UK Influencer, YouTuber and Podcaster space is preferred but not essential.
NOTE: applicants without a portfolio/website on their CV and at least 2 years visible in-house experience within a similar role will NOT be considered and we are unable to get back to unsuccessful candidates.
WORKING HOURS
40 Hours Per Week - Evening and weekend work will be required due to the nature of the business. Overtime is paid in addition.
