Role Description

The Senior Videographer is a contract role responsible for leading end-to-end video production for client and internal projects. This hybrid position is based in Norwich, with the flexibility to work from home for portions of the role. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Planning shoots
  • Collaborating on concepts and storyboards
  • Operating cameras
  • Setting up lighting
  • Capturing high-quality video footage on location and in studio

The Senior Videographer will also oversee post-production workflows, including reviewing footage, providing edit direction, and ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and creative strategy. The role involves working closely with creative strategists, designers, and clients to deliver compelling video content that reflects Revel Studios’ audience-first approach.

Qualifications

  • Strong video production skills, including project planning, shoot coordination, and oversight of the full production process.
  • Proficiency in camera operation and shooting video, with hands-on experience using professional camera systems.
  • Solid understanding of lighting techniques for studio and on-location shoots to achieve consistent visual quality.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams and clients to translate creative concepts into effective visual narratives.
  • Skilled in directing on-screen talent and managing small production crews in fast-paced environments.
  • Working knowledge of post-production processes, including editing workflows, file management, and feedback cycles (advanced editing skills are a plus).
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional experience as a videographer or in video production; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating past work is required.
  • Familiarity with current trends in digital video, social platforms, and audience engagement strategies.
